‘Contrary to popular belief.. NO, what doesn’t kill you WILL NOT make you STRONGER! You decide, through your decisions, who you will become. Will you become stronger or weaker? The winner or the victim? Struggles and life are there to challenge you.. and through your reactions and decisions, you shape yourself.’
We all struggle. Sometimes it feels like we struggle every day.. with different things, in different ways.. and very often people don’t talk about it. But that’s another topic.
What I want to emphasize here is that YOU are the one who decides who you will become. Not external factors. Not life. Not your parents or your partner. But you. Even if it doesn’t seem like it.. you are the one shaping yourself.
Life brings various obstacles, as do people.. but you are the one who faces them. Even if it seems like others are controlling your life — and maybe they are — it is only because YOU allow it. As you can see.. it’s up to you.
Just hear me out..
We all see people going through similar situations, yet not all of them come out the same. And not because of life.. but because of their decisions.
Some become weaker. Some see the lessons and learn from them. Some refuse to let life break them.. which means that with your decisions today, YOU decide who you will be tomorrow. Both physically and mentally.
To clarify.. when I say ‘you will become stronger or weaker’, I’m not talking about your current feelings or physical endurance. I’m talking about your character.. your personality.. your attitude towards life, yourself, and others.
And this absolutely does not mean that if you are strong, you cannot feel weak. Of course you can. Duality is always present.
So this is not about your emotions in the moment.. it’s about your character. It’s about the ‘role’ you choose through your decisions.
Weak people complain and play the role of the victim.. someone else is always to blame. Strong people take responsibility for their lives.
I hope that’s clear now.
Now.. I want you to always keep this in mind:
1. When you struggle.. you give yourself the opportunity to grow.
2. Your attitude and the decisions you make during struggles shape your character and personality. You either become stronger.. or you become a victim.
3. It’s not about life.. it’s about you and your attitude.
4. When you struggle.. you will learn a lot about yourself, your life, and your surroundings.
5. It doesn’t matter if you fail or feel down.. failure is part of life and leads to growth. It’s okay not to feel okay. What matters is giving yourself time to process.. and then getting back up. Don’t lose yourself.
6. Even if you do lose yourself for a moment.. that’s okay too. We are human. Find a way to rise again. Help yourself. Again.. you decide.
7. Whatever you’re going through.. don’t identify with it. Listen to your body and take the time YOU need to process, understand, heal.. to readjust and start again.
8. Yes.. it will be hard. Life can be hard — we all know that. But this difficulty is temporary.. unlike the suffering that comes when you choose to stay in the role of a victim. It’s hard for you and your surroundings.
9. Even when you feel lost.. when it feels like there is no solution.. there is always one. Acceptance is always the key and the starting point.
Therefore.. be AWARE of your decisions. Be responsible for yourself and your life.
This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
