It is so important to love someone a little extra on their bad days

‘It is so important to love someone a little extra on their bad days.’

We all have those days when we need a little extra love, a hug, support.. or simply to be left alone. And giving space to someone who needs it is also love. Don’t forget that.

Love comes from the heart.. and it shows itself in many different ways. What truly matters is that what we give comes from a real place. From love — not from need, not from ego. Let’s understand what that really means.

When we act out of love.. we don’t calculate. We don’t expect. We don’t give in order to receive. We give because we want to. Because we care. Because we understand that person and what they need in that moment. We do it because we will make life better and help someone we care about.

There is no weight in it. No pressure. No hidden contract.

Yet many people act out of obligation, not love. And that feels heavy.. especially for the person being treated like a duty instead of being loved.

So pour some love into what you do for others. But first — check your intention.

Because your intention speaks louder than your actions or your words. Your actions can look like love.. but intention reveals the truth behind them.

You can show up with care, with attention, with presence.. but if your intention is to gain something, to secure a place in someone’s life, to take advantage of their vulnerability — that’s not love. That’s manipulation. That’s control.

Using someone’s vulnerable moment for your own gain..that says everything. And people feel that. Always.

When you truly love someone.. you want them to be okay. To feel safe. To feel better. Even if their happiness doesn’t include you. And that’s where most people fail.

Because love is not control. Love is not strategy. Love is not ‘what do I get back?’

Love is ‘I give because I want to.’

And how someone receives that love — is their choice. Not yours to control.

That’s why when you act from love.. you don’t overthink reactions. You don’t calculate outcomes. You don’t perform. You just show up — honestly. You simply give from your heart. Because you can. Because you want to.

Now ask yourself this..

How does it feel when you need that extra love.. and someone gives it to you — but you sense something behind it? Conditions. Expectations. A hidden agenda that will show itself sooner or later.

You feel it. And it closes you.

This is one of the reasons why people shut down. Not just because they are misunderstood.. but because they are approached in the wrong way.

People often love the way THEY think love should look like.. instead of understanding what the other person actually needs.

So start there. With yourself.

The more you understand yourself.. the more naturally you will understand others.

Don’t try to fix people. No one is broken. And don’t try to ‘love them into becoming who you want them to be’.

Rather love them as they are. Or leave them. Love helps and heals.

Love doesn’t control. Love doesn’t force. Love allows.

Practice empathy. Practice presence. Ask. Listen. Feel what they need, even ask them.. just don’t project your way of thinking and being on them.. it can be counterproductive.

Let people feel safe with you. Let them be vulnerable without fear of being used, judged or misunderstood. Make space for them. Learn to listen to their needs. Not yours.

Nothing reveals your truth more clearly than the way you love someone when they are not at their best.

Love quietly. Love honestly. Love with intention. Love with understanding. Love with hugs and kisses.. just love them.

This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
