I love advent Christmas calendar. I mean, I love gifts. :)))

I love Christmas so very much, maybe it’s the part of the year I love the most. Even though, in the country I come from this custom does not exist, that is something I have learned living in Spain, from my English friends. :))) And of course, me being myself.. I love to adapt all good customs, especially those where I can treat myself. On a daily basis if possible. But this year’s calendar is a bit different.

Instead of treating myself, I have created a to-do list.

I have made a commitment to myself that I have to do the things I write down.

So I sat down and made a list of 25 things I have on my mind, but you know, I still haven’t started or finished them. Yes, I am very persistent, but also, I am very good at procrastinating. Sometimes, procrastination can be very productive (in my case), but this time I have decided to commit myself by writing down everything and surprising myself by actually doing them, without any procrastination.

And guys, yes, today is the 22nd of December and I have completed every single task. All I can say to all of you & if I can give any advice is: make plans, decisions and then, WRITE THEM DOWN.

WRITING DOWN is very different than keeping your plans in your head.

You actually push yourself to do it, because you have a schedule. You are going to read those plans every single day, so eventually you will do them. Even though, I had days where I was like, ah naaah, tomorrow I will do two.. my self-discipline called me from within: No no. Today. You said today. So today. Ok, ok, today then.

Schedule!

Don’t get scared, my tasks weren’t difficult at all. Today for example I have to send nice messages to my favourite people. Not that I am not doing that already, quite on the contrary. But, today was that “surprise” with a message day. :))) And this keeps me on track and it reminds me that I don’t take dear people for granted. So from time to time, I send them hearts, kisses or something that is characteristic of me. Even some nonsense, to make them laugh. If they don’t laugh, I do.

Also one of tasks is to finally finish one book that I started to read a couple of months ago. I have a couple of unfinished books. Some of my tasks are things that I am going to do for the first time.

So.. as you can see committing to yourself is very important, because you are going to do those things, even if those things scare you. Actually my other advice: do them first. Just do them.

Whether it is to tell someone you like them, whether you need to apologise.. whatever that might be, do it!

You will feel great, like I did after completing every single task of mine on this year’s Advent Calendar. My self love and respect have arisen. I feel very proud of myself. So will you.

I love December. So much. I wish that all months were like December.

And they can be, only if we believe that they can be. So you don’t need to wait for December, Christmas or New year to make resolutions. Make a decision now. Because now is the moment. Write. Set a date. And act. I did. So can you.

Magic is in the air. I believe in magic. And lots of love and good vibes. Exactly how I love.

Love and namaste,
Irina 💙🦄

So, let me introduce myself. My name is Irina Vujaklija and I was born in Belgrade on 31 January 1979. Who am I? Love. I know, you will roll your eyes.. But that is how it is. Discovering my true self wasn’t an easy process. Constantly working on myself, learning by seeking answers to many questions, I have managed to overcome very complicated life situations. Among other things, my severe motorcycle accident in 2004. A life altering moment in just one second.
