Be who you are and people will love you for it. Not all of them, and why would they? The same applies to the content you create. Create content for which you want to be known and remembered, not what the audience gives you likes for.
It is so important, like the air you breathe, that you do what YOU love and enjoy doing, and not that you do what others love or expect from you. People have different interests and you should not focus on pleasing others, because you can easily lose yourself in that.
And I know that being ‘non-commercial’ and ‘non-trendy’ is not popular and may not bring you the money you would like.. and then you should ask yourself what your intention is behind what you do, because money or popularity should not be the reason.. money should come as a result and not as a reason.
We live in the world, where people make business out of everything. All we see are marketing TRICKS.. the courses that offer sales tactics, people who teach you how to convince others to buy something.. they teach you how to convince others that they really NEED it so they MUST buy things from you!
You need to CONVINCE ME that I need to buy something from you (your services) without even knowing what I want? Sorry, but no sorry, in my case this is not how it works.
Then you get tactics on how to post for the sake of getting likes, what to write, do.. all with the goal of SALES. Humanity is lost.
Somehow you must post things that people will give you likes for.. I always wondered why? Why do you need to post things to gather likes or that other people like? No, I don’t.
Why almost no one says that YOU SHOULD post things YOU like and enjoy, that represent YOU what you believe in and stand for, things you find value in. Posting things with value, that can be useful and helpful will impact others positively. And thus you will have the opportunity to meet people who are similar to you with similar interests, desires.
Create content for which you want to be known and remembered, not what the audience gives you likes for!
Then.. never measure the quality of your work through likes.. why would you value yourself based on ‘likes’ you receive? Especially if you keep in mind that people often give likes because most people have already given a like.. or because of their intentions towards you and not because they truly like what you do.
Irony or not, most people think that if something has more likes, it means that something is worth more, and then they automatically like it.. without asking themselves what they are actually supporting. That is so wrong.
Remember: YOU ARE NOT YOUR LIKES. Don’t measure your worth through likes you receive.
Unfortunately, many people live like robots, or act and make decisions out of fear, so they don’t use their mind, heart or even common sense, they simply go where there is a crowd. And that crowd is exactly the same as them.
Focus on YOU, the things you enjoy and love doing! Express everything your soul wants.. learn and create.
Don’t focus on money, focus on things you love doing!
