‘It’s rare to find someone who is not full of shit these days.’
We are all full of shit — and the difference lies in how we choose to deal with it. Pardon my French for the shit.. but it is all about emphasis and expression here — so take it that way.
We are all full of shit, but not everyone cleans up their mess in the same way.
There are people who dump their garbage onto others. Some people process their pain. Others spread it.
And almost everything we share with others is a reflection of what we carry inside.
There are those who are full of shit when they start talking and selling fairy tales to others with no intention of keeping their word. Or when they insult others and behave arrogantly.
I am completely amazed by how evil people can be.. and the only thing I want to offer them is: toilet paper and bleach.
Now please.. clean that poison from the inside.
We are all full of shit for different reasons, because life can be very hard.
Most of us were never taught how to deal with life in a healthy way, so we do not channel what we feel inside properly. Instead, we suppress emotions. And slowly.. we begin experiencing hell within ourselves.
Because we were taught that honesty about pain is ‘socially unacceptable’.
And that it is ‘not polite’ to answer the question ‘How are you?’ with:
‘I AM NOT WELL. I am falling apart.’
Instead, you are expected to say:
‘I’m good.’
Because apparently how others see you matters so much.. Meanwhile, how you see yourself seems to matter the least.
Fear of judgment has never brought anything good.
As a consequence of these beliefs, almost everyone pretends to be ‘happy’ while silently falling apart inside.
False positivism is everywhere.
‘How are you?’
‘Great. The job is great. Everything is great.’
Five minutes later, you start a fight with someone out of the blue.
Dear.. are you sure you are feeling great?
Just look around you or within you. People passing their frustrations to one another as if that is something natural, normal. When it is not. It is easier for people to insult others than to share some love.
Yes, even though society taught us to always say we are feeling good.. ask yourself: does this belief really serve you?
I am not saying you should walk around constantly complaining, no. But be honest with yourself first.
Dig deep.
Some people choose to face difficult situations, and others do not. They would rather ignore everything instead of deal with it.
Yeah.. let’s hide the shit under the rug, because apparently that is the solution. Nobody will notice it.
Except you.
And eventually all that dust and mold you hid under the rug starts poisoning everything around you.
So knowing this.. go within. Connect with yourself. Address everything that needs to be addressed without passing responsibility for your life onto others. Know your boundaries.
I know I had to unpack many things and learn many others.. so I will not take any shit from anyone anymore.
You can be sure about that. I will simply hand it back to you as a gift with a bow. Because your trash does not belong to me.
Nor to anyone else.
Deal with your own shit instead of hiding behind a fake happy-go-lucky attitude while screaming for help from within.
It is okay to ask for help. It is okay not to feel okay.
What is not okay is making others suffer because you refuse to face yourself.
People already carry enough of their own burdens — they do not need yours too.
Being wounded is not your fault. Refusing to heal while hurting others is your responsibility.
Hold yourself accountable.
This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
