‘As I become more me, I trust that the people who are meant to stay will stay. And those that are meant to go will vibrate out.’
To be who you are.. means being your authentic self. But before we go any further, let me make one thing very clear. Many people misunderstand what that really means. People are often rude to others, hurt them, and then hide behind phrases such as: ‘That is just who I am.’ or ‘I am just being honest.’
No, dear.. there is a fine line between sincerity and rudeness, and you have crossed it. Being yourself means liking who you are. It is never an excuse to be cruel or to hurt other people. And if you like being rude and hurting others.. then you should go inwards and ask yourself: what is hurting so much inside you that hurting other people makes you feel good?
True self-awareness means looking deeply within yourself to heal your pain instead of using honesty as a weapon.
You are free to say whatever you want, as long as you respect other people. You are free to do whatever makes you happy, as long as you do not hurt others. Because your freedom ends where someone else’s freedom begins. Respect other people’s boundaries.. and do not let anyone cross yours.
Awareness is part of authenticity, and aware people do not hurt others and then hide behind stupid excuses. Authentic people take responsibility for their actions. And they change.
We often see this in relationships. People hurt their partner and then say: ‘That is just how I am. I cannot change.’ They use their personality as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility. Or they make a mistake, apologise, and then repeat the same behaviour. At that point, it is no longer a mistake.. it is a choice. Yet they still do nothing to change themselves or the situation. Instead, they hide behind their ego.. or blame other people for their own actions, making them feel guilty for something they did not do. What a harmful dynamic.
And.. I am not talking about ‘mistakes’ such as cheating, because cheating is an intentional choice, not a mistake.
Never expect other people to change. You change.
Always communicate how you feel. Do not expect change to happen on its own or other people to change simply because you want them to. People change only when they choose to. And you, accordingly, must decide where you stay and what you choose to do.
And, as always, I want to bring the focus back to you. Because you matter in your own life. Everything starts there. Connect with yourself. Look deep within. Love yourself. Embrace yourself. Question your beliefs and your thoughts, and remove all the layers that do not truly belong to you. Self-discovery will not be an easy journey.. but it will be worth it. Keep growing. Keep becoming a better version of yourself than you were yesterday.
We still live in a world where the vast majority of people are unconscious, and sometimes it will feel as though you are fighting against windmills.. alone, awake in a sea of people who are still asleep.
But you are not alone.. and you do not need to fight. Fighting only creates unnecessary resistance and exhaustion. Accept that reality, because once you do, the need to struggle or convince other people to see your perspective begins to disappear.
Let it happen.
Stay true to yourself.. and the right people will love you for who you are.
Never beg or chase anyone to stay in your life.. that is not a sign of self-love.. but of a lack of it.
People come and go. But you should always remain true to yourself.
Anything or anyone you lose by being honest was not true. You cannot lose what was never real. You only lose an illusion.
Every loving relationship that ends because of honesty and because you chose to be yourself.. was never built on real love to begin with.
The more you connect with yourself, the clearer your inner voice becomes. The more clearly you will understand your true needs, set healthy boundaries, and build honest, deep relationships with the people you choose to have in your life.
When people leave your life and your essence remains the same, it is not a loss. On the contrary. It simply means they were never your people. But when you change your essence just to keep other people around.. THAT is a real loss. You lose yourself and who you truly are.
Everything changes, nothing is the same, yet your essence should remain the same. Life moves and changes around you, but your inner values and true identity should stay steady.
This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
