‘Do I blame my zodiac sign, my childhood traumas, or both for the person I am today?’
Oh my unicorn, when I hear someone blame their astrological sign or traumatic childhood for their bad behavior towards others or for anything else, I shudder at the lack of awareness and responsibility behind it. People use any kind of excuses to avoid taking responsibility.
You can look for excuses to justify yourself, blame anything you want and hide behind your horoscope, retrograde Mercury or whatever else.. those are only excuses. And excuses don’t justify bad behavior. You make others suffer. And that speaks volumes about you. Your actions speak about you.
You can’t use pain or past struggles as a justification. It does not erase the damage you caused or excuse the behavior. Accountability and taking responsibility are essential.
That’s why I feel like yelling at the top of my voice:
Wake up, Aries!
I don’t care if you’re an Aries. If you treat people badly, you’re not behaving like an Aries. You’re just behaving like a dick.
Do something about it. Be responsible for your life and actions. Others should not suffer because of your irresponsibility and lack of awareness.
In any case, blaming others or blaming something else does not help at all. Awareness and change do.
You can blame whoever you want.. parents, life, your zodiac sign, bad luck, noisy neighbours, your partner, society, the internet.. all of these are just excuses. And if you use them to justify your bad behavior, you are taking the role of the victim.
Yes, YOU choose that role. It is not others who make you a victim, but you and your choices. In the same way, you can decide not to be a victim and choose healing instead.
Is that really who you are? An Aries-victim acting like a dick to everyone around you?
The one who shares misery with others, constantly complains and blames everyone else for the person they have become?
Then don’t be surprised by the life you continue to create. You deserve the life you live.
But don’t share your misery with others because you refuse to take responsibility for yourself. Because you don’t want to hold yourself accountable.
It’s your choice. It’s your life.
Just don’t hide behind cheap excuses that insult other people’s intelligence. We can all see through them. So don’t sell an absurd excuse waiting for others to buy it.
It doesn’t matter if you had a traumatic childhood or if you are Aries, Gemini, Scorpio or a penguin astronaut. If you behave badly, the problem is not your sign. The problem is you.
Very few people had a good, healthy childhood. Yet not all of us chose to become victims and ask others to pity us.
You decide. You are in charge of your life. Take responsibility for your life.
Because you may not have had the opportunity to choose where you would be born, but you have the opportunity to choose who you will become and how you will change.
You decide what to do with what is given to you. Accept it and work from there. It’s your life.
The decisions you make today will define your tomorrow.
Your past does not define you. Nor does your horoscope.
You and your choices do.
This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
