Everyone is obsessed with their love life.. while I focus on learning to love life

‘Everyone is obsessed with their love life.. while I focus on learning to love life.’

People work so hard chasing society’s idea of what a successful life should look like.. and they often forget what truly matters. Rarely do they stop and ask themselves: Is this the life I truly want? Is this the kind of love I have always dreamed of?

From the very first day of our lives, we are taught to follow society’s checklist: finish school, go to university, build a career, get married, have children, buy a house.. and so on. Why? Because we are taught that these things will automatically bring us success, happiness, fulfilment and a sense of personal accomplishment.

Is that really true? NO. Happiness comes from within. Personal accomplishment and fulfilment should never be measured by marriage, children or any other external milestone.

So if you choose not to have children.. or not to get married.. many people still feel as though something must be wrong with them. They feel unsuccessful, incomplete or as if they have somehow failed. That is how deeply these beliefs are rooted within us.

The moment we are born, we are handed a pre-written script together with a checklist.

It promises that if you simply tick every box.. you will become successful. And so.. many people spend their lives trying to check every box on that list instead of truly living their lives.

Yet no one teaches us how to love ourselves.. or why it is the most important relationship we will ever build. And everything begins there.. with self-love.

Most people have no idea how important that truly is.

That is why we see so many unhappy marriages. Parents who were never emotionally ready to become parents. Successful businessmen and businesswomen consumed by stress and frustration. People with degrees, titles and achievements.. yet still feeling completely empty inside. People who blindly follow other people’s beliefs.. convinced that this is the path to happiness.

Fulfilment is not a checklist.

It is alignment. It is when your daily life, your choices and your relationships truly reflect who you are inside.. rather than what society, culture or even your family expect from you.

Let me assure you.. once you learn to love yourself, accept life as it is, and define happiness on your own terms.. you open the door to a life filled with abundance, peace and fulfilment.

You will discover that you are the love of your own life. In other words.. you will finally understand what self-love truly means and why staying true to yourself matters so much. And it takes tremendous courage to recognize those patterns of conditioning, unlearn them.. and finally learn what truly serves you.

When you stay true to yourself.. you naturally choose to surround yourself with extraordinary people. People who are aligned with themselves.. and who truly resonate with who you are. You start doing work you genuinely love. You dare to take risks. You open your heart to everything life has to offer. You set YOURSELF FREE. You finally begin following your own heart.

And then.. the right person for you will arrive.. without you having to obsess over finding love.

So.. do not spend your life trying to complete someone else’s checklist — the house, the marriage, the career.. only to wake up one day feeling completely empty because you built YOUR life on expectations instead of your own values, dreams and desires.

Don’t let the ‘Is this it?’ syndrome define your life.

This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
