Whenever you lose someone but find yourself.. you win

‘I used to be afraid of losing people until I realized most of them were never really there for me anyway. Even though my loyalty and love for them ran deep, they couldn’t care less. So instead of being afraid of losing them, I stepped back and watched them lose me.. Wow, growth.’

Stepping back from one-sided relationships is a sign of self-respect.

Are you afraid of losing people? Someone you love? Someone you care about? Someone who isn’t really there for you anyway?

Why?

Of course, when you love someone, you don’t want to be separated from that person. And it often happens that the very thought of ‘losing’ them makes you feel pain.

That’s okay. It is normal to fear losing the people you love. Just don’t let it become your reality. Instead of loving and enjoying them, don’t spend your time fearing that you’ll lose them.

By doing so, you will make choices based on fear, not based on love.

And.. that’s where honesty gets lost.

Do not let that fear control you. Fear makes you hide your true self. Love lets you be honest and free. Make choices based on love. Make your relationship stronger and real.

Then keep in mind that we all have the right to decide what and WHO we love, want and choose.. accept that.

Help yourself suffer less.

The pain you feel during a breakup is okay, it’s normal.. and accepting the situation will help you suffer less.

Feel the emotions. Allow yourself to be sad.

But before it even comes to that.. first, you don’t know if it’s going to happen. Then, always do your best. Give yourself 100% and love. Take care of your relationship. Put your best effort into your relationship. Communicate.

And.. if it comes to that, that’s okay.

A solution can also be found in breaking up instead of living in misery and staying where you’re not loved. Know your boundaries and recognize when you are not loved. It will help you not to be afraid of losing people who are not for you.

Don’t be afraid of losing others darling, be afraid of losing yourself trying to please them and keep them around.

It is very easy to forget about your own needs.

Then..

You can’t lose anything you didn’t have in the first place. And you can’t own anyone. People are free to choose. So are you.

People come and go.. face it. Those who grow in the same direction as us.. will stay. Sometimes paths split apart. It can be hard to say goodbye. But this is also a beautiful thing because it opens the door for new people.

As usual.. everything starts with ourselves.

Focus on yourself.

When you accept who you are and when you start loving yourself.. you will start inviting a different kind of people into your life.

That is why all those who no longer vibrate on the same level as you.. will go away.

The more you love who you are, the less you will seek approval from others.

You will not desperately want to keep those who are not for you, who are not there for you and who do not choose you.

Because when you start loving yourself, you will start respecting yourself, and others too.

Things will become clearer, no matter how painful they are. And they will be. Of course.

You will understand that it is yours to love them, not to fear losing them.. and what happens next depends on the decisions you both make.

You will become aware of your values.

That is why losing someone who doesn’t share your core values is actually a gain.

A gain of freedom.

And an opportunity to meet someone who will love you for who you are, instead of changing yourself and your essence for the sake of keeping a person who doesn’t truly see YOU next to them.

So..

Whenever you lose someone but find yourself.. you win.

It’s kind of a win-win situation, except that only you win twice.

I repeat, of course, goodbyes can be very painful and not always beautiful.

So give yourself time to understand and heal, bearing in mind everything I said.

You need you. More than anyone else.

’ – But what if I lose them?

– But darling, what if you lose yourself?’

This isn’t the only text. But today, it might be enough.
