People don’t lie to you because they want to protect you because the truth will hurt your feelings. Usually they lie to you because they are afraid that the truth might provoke you to make the choices that won’t serve their interests.
I really dislike when someone assumes things about me, especially when those assumptions have nothing to do with me. This includes if someone decides “to protect” me by not to telling me the truth because they think I’m going to get mad. So, they decide to LIE.
Oh.. pardon my French but that’s complete and utter bulls..t.
Yours is to tell the truth. If I get mad.. let me get mad. You don’t get to decide what is right for me!
You are not doing this to protect me(others), but to protect yourself! You don’t want to be a “bad cop” because you are afraid, they will change their opinion about you. Thus, some of issues are:
1. You care what others think of you
2. People who “love you”, don’t love real you, they love the image of you that you created
3. You are not loyal to them but to your needs of them.
Think vice versa! How would you react?
If someone lies to you.. that’s an act of egoism and irresponsibility, lack of respect. As a result, you can create more problems than you can imagine.

Remember, you don’t get to decide what is good for others, based on your personal opinion.
The truth, IF NECESSARY(it’s up to you to feel it), no matter how hard it is, it has to be told. It’s not going to be easy but.. find the way to do it. And let(help) them face the truth.. instead of hiding behind lies. Or would you rather be living in a lie?
Your actions speak about you! So, if you are lying.. what does it say about you?
