Oh Motivational quotes, they mean a lot to me. I love a-ha moments.

I have too many of them, 10 is not enough to write about all of them, but more than enough to motivate and as usual to make you think. :))))

1. Muhammad Ali:

‘I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’

But quitting? ME? No way. From time to time I need a break, but as long as I have my goals, I will never stop. I think I was born a fighter. You?

Bonus:

‘Respect is earned, not given.’

‘Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.’

Acting is not talking!

2. Winston Churchill:

‘Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.’

Bonus:

‘If you’re going through hell, keep going.’

‘You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.’

‘I never ‘worry’ about action, but only about inaction.’

3. Robin Sharma:

‘This very day can be the first day of your new life. It’s all your choice.’

Be aware that the decision you make today defines your tomorrow.

4. Peaceful Warrior – Socrates:

‘A warrior is not about perfection, or victory, or invulnerability. He’s about absolute vulnerability. That’s the only true courage.

Absence of fear is not strength, but doing it even if you are afraid. It takes true courage to show your vulnerability.’

5. Intouchables – Philippe and lawyer- about hiring a criminal (Driss):

Lawyer: ‘Be careful. You know guys from the suburbs have no mercy.’ Philippe: ‘That’s what I want. No mercy.’

If I can tell you one of the things I don’t like seeing people doing is: pitying others, especially for their disabilities. That is so fake and doesn’t help at all. Firstly, the only disability is brain disability and having a limited perspective. Secondly I can assure you, that people in wheelchairs would love to be treated like any other person. Don’t take pity on them. NE-VA! Instead try to help them find solutions to do anything they would like to do.

6. The Lord of the Rings – Gandalf:

‘All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.’

Bonus:

‘Be silent! Keep your forked tongue behind your teeth! I have not passed through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm.’

I am not a fan of people who see someone’s success without seeing or thinking how they achieved it. Even worse is when someone comments by trying to belittle your hard earned success with words like: ‘Oh, it is easy for you.’ Oh really? Says who? It speaks a lot about themselves, and I just feel even more motivated and proud of myself. So this would be my reply to them. Kind reply.

7. Carlson Gracie:

‘If you want to be a lion, you must train with lions.’

You can’t expect to make progress if you are surrounded with people who bring you down. If you’re the smartest person in the room, then you’re in the wrong room. This mindset should be a part of your life.

8. Osho:

‘If you suffer, it is because of you. If you feel blissful, it is because of you. Nobody else is responsible – only you and you alone. You are your hell and your heaven too.’

Bonus:

‘Be realistic: Plan for a miracle’

Something to really think about. You live what you believe in.

9. Rumi:

‘Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.’

Bonus:

‘You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?’

Love yourself unconditionally.

10. Richard Branson:

‘You don’t learn to walk by following the rules. You learn by doing, and falling over.’

Bonus:

‘Too many people measure how successful they are by how much money they make or the people that they associate with. In my opinion, true success should be measured by how happy you are.’

‘If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later!’

Conclusion:

(Peaceful Warrior)

Dan Millman: I know more than you think.
Socrates: And you think more than you know. But knowledge is not the same as wisdom.
Dan Millman: Yeah? What’s the difference?
Socrates: You know how to clean a windshield, right?
Dan Millman: Yeah.
Socrates: Wisdom is doing it.

My life:

She needed a hero, so that’s what she became. And if I could tell you one thing. It would be: You are never as broken as you think you are. Sure you have a couple of scars, and a couple of bad memories, but then again all great heroes do.

Irina

So, let me introduce myself. My name is Irina Vujaklija and I was born in Belgrade on 31 January 1979. Who am I? Love. I know, you will roll your eyes.. But that is how it is. Discovering my true self wasn’t an easy process. Constantly working on myself, learning by seeking answers to many questions, I have managed to overcome very complicated life situations. Among other things, my severe motorcycle accident in 2004. A life altering moment in just one second.
