I’m a huuuuuge fan of movies. A huge fan.

There is nothing better for me than having: sofa+blanket+hug+movie & of course some nice food. The perfect night in. Often, even better than a night out. In today’s post I will write about those movies that have had a big impact on my life, and those movies that I always look forward to re-watching. Although documentaries will be excluded from this post, as I want to dedicate another post especially for them.

1.The all time best.. best of the best is: The Lord of the Rings

I believe in magic, miracles and fairy tales, unicorns, you know that, right? So, this is a perfect combo for me. Above all we can see true values, true friendship, true love, bravery, not giving up.. and that good always wins. Win win win.. Win. I don’t know how many times I have watched all 3 parts, but who counts when it comes to a great movie such as this one?

2. 300

If anyone asks: HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!

As a natural born fighter :)))), there is nothing strange for me looooooving this movie. I always say that I am a Spartan woman. I love their dedication, strength, all for one-one for all, and so much more, like respect for their women.. This movie is soooo motivating to me, so inspirational, so so good to pick me up and give me my strength back.

“The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, even a god-king can bleed.”

“These, uh, 300 Men Are My Personal Bodyguard.”

3. Intouchables

I really, really love movies based on a true stories.. Really!!! This one is one of the best I’ve ever seen. For so many reasons. We all need one Driss in our lives. :)))) Again another motivational must-see movie.

4. Love Actually

Quick break from all that fighting.. ah no, we are still fighting, but this time for love. :))) I adore this movie. It is all about love, love, love, like myself. Love love love. Love.

5. Apocalypto

Another great movie which is also very motivational.

6. Peaceful Warrior

In my opinion this is one of the most undeservedly underrated movies. Full of wisdom, and based on a true story! Of course. I will say no more, you have to watch it, in case you haven’t already.

7. The Little Prince

I love this version of one of my fav books. I love cartoons too. So, win win. Life explained if you ask me, thank you Little Prince.

8. The Notebook

Yeah love love love. Viva l’amore. And Ryan Gosling. :)))

9. Drive

Speaking about Ryan, this is one of his best role. Master peace. Although a bit brutal, but with lots of good music.

10. Love & Other Drugs

Love this movie so much for several reasons, but the most important one, as usual, is: LOVE!

These movies are just some of my all time favourite picks, of course I could continue to write a lot more, but these came to my mind first. So as we can see, I love motivational movies, with lots of love, based on true stories. And fairy tales, of course!

Bonus: Amores perros, The Godfather, Harry Potter, Warrior, End of Watch, Gone Baby Gone, Life of Pi, Hotel Rwanda, Into the Wild, Kung Fu Panda, La Tigre e la Nieve, Once, Pulp Fiction, Room, Sicario, The Pursuit of Happiness, Scent of a Woman, etc etc, Un cuento Chino, About time, The Breakfast Club, Green Book, etc.

So that’s that.

Depending on when you’re reading this, I wish you either a beautiful day or a good night, you beautiful soul!
Love and namaste,
Irina 💙🦄

Irina

So, let me introduce myself. My name is Irina Vujaklija and I was born in Belgrade on 31 January 1979. Who am I? Love. I know, you will roll your eyes.. But that is how it is. Discovering my true self wasn’t an easy process. Constantly working on myself, learning by seeking answers to many questions, I have managed to overcome very complicated life situations. Among other things, my severe motorcycle accident in 2004. A life altering moment in just one second.
